Park's best finish at Phoenix was third in November 2000 in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series.

This will be the fifth start for Orleans Racing at Phoenix and the 80 th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start for the team.

PRE-RACE QUOTES FROM STEVE PARK: “I like Phoenix. I like the racetrack and the layout. They have done a tremendous job making it a premier place to race. I've seen a lot of changes since the first time I went there in 1997. There is a huge fan base. Every time we go there people just love the fact that we are there racing.” (About looking for the first win of 2004 and the points race): “We have seen the team grow this year. We are getting toward the end of the year, and we finally have the people in place to run better and better. I'd been very disappointed if we don't win a race. We haven't really concentrated on points all year. You take every race one at a time and have the attitude of winning those races. When you can't win you finish as high as you can. The points will follow that. The points race is tight in the Craftsman Truck Series, and I don't think Dennis Setzer and Bobby Hamilton are points racing. They are racing to win races and finish in front of each other. We want to win races and put our Dodge up front and the points will fall where they may.” (About having most of Thursday off): I'm prefer the one or two-day shows. We only have 45-minutes on-track Thursday, so I'm going to visit the Ping Golf factory in Phoenix . Bill Iseri from Ping is going to show me around the factory. I'm an avid golfer, so I'm really looking forward to the tour.”
