Notes Of Interest:
Steve Park comes to Vegas as one of the favorites in this weekend’s Las Vegas 350. Park, driving the Orleans Racing Dodge, finished third in this event in 2004 --- and is racing for the team that dominated this race in 2003.
Park will run a brand new Dodge in this event, No. 17, which ran very fast laps during a test session two weeks ago.

“We go from my hometown advantage at New Hampshire to hometown advantage for Orleans Racing because they’re right across the street from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. We’re excited about it. We had a good run here last year. Now with Brendan onboard we hope we can take either the Orleans Racing Dodge or the Jasper Engines Dodge to victory lane.
“We had new trucks built and took them out and shook them down and had a good test. It’s always a great race here in Las Vegas. We’re running under the lights so the people don’t have to worry about it being too hot in the grandstand. The trucks seem to sparkle with their paint jobs under the lights.”
Anything you like to do in while in Vegas? – “Yeah --- I like to go gambling at the Orleans! We had a lot of fun last year and met a lot of race fans. It’s great to commingle truck drivers with all the race fans that stay at the Orleans. It’s not uncommon to be side-by-side with one of your favorite drivers in the Orleans playing a little blackjack or poker.”
