RICHMOND, Va., Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004 – Steve Park started 17th and finished 12th in the Kroger 200 at Richmond International Raceway Sept. 9. He is 12th in the point standings with 2,070 points. He is 430 points behind leader Bobby Hamilton and 16 points out of 11th.
STEVE PARK: "It was a difficult race. We finished 12th, but we probably didn't have a 12th-place truck. The Orleans Dodge was just off all day. It is hard to pinpoint the exact problem. We just really need to keep working on it. We actually gained points overall on the people ahead of us even though we didn't gain any positions. So it was a good day for the points race, but we are ready for a race win. That is what we are working toward. I'm really looking forward to New Hampshire next weekend. That is basically my hometown track since it isn't too far from Long Island.”
