A Return For Park

An old friend of the Modified Series is expected to return to action in the division at the Sylvania 100 Sept. 17 at New Hampshire International Speedway.
Officials from Whelen Engineering are expected to announce next week that former Ellington resident Steve Park will try to qualify for the event in a car owned by Joe Brady.
Brady confirmed Thursday that Park, who is 11th in the Craftsman Truck Series, will drive his car at NHIS.
"It's ready to go," Brady said. "It's going to be fun. We were together in the early '90s and won a couple championships at New Smyrna [Fla.] Speedway. When we were in Florida in February, we talked about doing this and it just came together with the trucks racing at New Hampshire that weekend."
Park last competed in the Modified Series in 1996, when he finished second in the standings. Park is seventh all time in the Modified Series with 16 career victories.
