BRISTOL, Tenn., Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004 – Steve Park started ninth and finished ninth in the O'Reilly 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway Aug. 25. He moved up one spot to 11th in the point standings with 1,943 points. He is 472 points behind leader Bobby Hamilton and 69 points out of 10th.
STEVE PARK: "We had a really fast truck in practice. We thought we could put the Orleans Dodge in the front of the pack. I don't know why, but we just got tighter and tighter as the race went on. I'm not really sure why. We had some problems with suspension parts when we tested. It is something we have to look at. We don't know if it was a spring collapsing or suspension part gave away or what. Bristol is tough on parts. I'm just happy to see Carl Edwards win. We were the fastest Dodge, so we will take that.”
