This will be Park's third start at Indianapolis Raceway Park. He has one start in the NASCAR Busch Series and one start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. This will be the third start for Orleans Racing at IRP and the 71st Craftsman Truck Series start for the team.
Park is 13th in points after 13 races. He finished 27 th in Daytona, 12 th in Atlanta, 26th in Martinsville, 27th in Mansfield, 12 th in Charlotte, 13 th in Dover, 10 th at Texas, 11 th at Memphis, fourth at Milwaukee, fourth at Kansas, sixth at Kentucky, 31st at Gateway and 17 th at Michigan.
PRE-RACE QUOTE FROM STEVE PARK: “I had my first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Indianapolis Raceway Park. I drove one race in Walker Evans' Dodge in 1996. I think we started and finished 11 th. I like the track because it reminds me of grassroots racing. I have been racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway the past several years. I've always watched the races at IRP, but it is great to have the opportunity to participate in the race. I enjoy the short tracks and the one-day shows. I am driving my coach from Michigan to Indy and enjoying some time off between the events. I‘m going to Cedar Point in Ohio to ride roller coasters. Then I'm driving to Indy in time for Dodge's pit-stop competition on the Circle in Indianapolis."
