LAS VEGA, Oct. 12, 2004 – The following pre-race notes, quotes and statistics are for Steve Park , driver of the No. 62 Orleans Dodge in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, prior to the Silverado 350k at Texas Motor Speedway Oct. 12.

PRE-RACE NOTES:

Orleans Racing has four wins in five starts at Texas Motor Speedway. All four wins came with Brendan Gaughan as the driver.

The team's primary Dodge Ram for Texas is the 13 truck. It is a new Dodge Ram that Park tested at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in September.

Park's best finish at Texas Motor Speedway is second in the NEXTEL Cup Series in April of 2001. Park has eight starts at Texas Motor Speedway, five of which where in the NEXTEL Cup Series and two in the NASCAR Busch Series. This will be his second start at Texas in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

This will be the sixth start for Orleans Racing at Texas .

Park has climbed to ninth in points. At the Texas race in June he was 19 th in points.

Park's finishes this season are: 27 th in Daytona, 12 th in Atlanta, 26th in Martinsville, 27th in Mansfield, 12 th in Charlotte, 13 th in Dover, 10 th at Texas, 11 th at Memphis, fourth at Milwaukee, fourth at Kansas, sixth at Kentucky, 31st at Gateway, 17 th at Michigan, 22nd at Indy, fifth at Nashville, ninth at Bristol, 12 th at Richmond, 14 th at Loudon, third at Las Vegas and eighth at Fontana.

STEVE PARK: “I'm actually really looking forward to this weekend. I think we have a legitimate shot at putting the Orleans Dodge back in victory lane at Texas . The Orleans Racing team has a long-standing tradition at Texas , and we want to be in a position to continue that winning tradition. We are taking the 13 truck. It is a new truck. We had a chance to test it at Vegas after the race last month, and we were really happy with the way it performed. We took it to the wind tunnel and had positive results. We are really happy with this truck and it is a great truck to take to Texas and try to win the race.”
