Steve Park Post Race Report - Kentucky

As the Craftsman Truck Series heads into the second half of the season, Steve Park and the No. 62 Orleans Racing team looked to Kentucky Speedway as the perfect place to reverse their fortunes.

Thanks to an eighth-place finish, they were able to do just that.

Park’s finish is even more impressive considering a number one draw forced him to qualify during the hottest part of the day and that translated into a 25th place starting position.

With nowhere to go but forward, Park kept the pedal to the metal while the crew chased the handling of their Dodge with numerous adjustments. Crew chief Charlie Wilson and his Orleans Racing team chased a tight condition from being --- and never were able to get the car free enough to contend for the win.

It was a night filled with caution flags that eliminated a number of contending drivers, including his teammate Brendan Gaughan. But through it all Park managed to avoid any trouble and post his fourth top-10 finish of the season – a finish which preserved Park’s 18th place driver standing and 19th place owner point standing in the Craftsman Truck Series points battle.
