SPI Sponsored NASCAR Truck Races This Saturday
South Padre Island sponsored Steve Park races his Orleans Dodge in the Craftsman NASCAR Truck series this Saturday. The Kroger 250 will take place at the Martinsville Speedway, in Martinsville, VA at 1:00 p.m.
Martinsville Speedway kicks off its 2005 season with NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Racing and the Kroger 250. The Martinsville Speedway is an oval track that is 0.526 miles around and features 12 banking/turns. Martinsville Speedway's 2005 season is the track's 58th year of operation and is its 57th year as a NASCAR-sanctioned facility. The race will be televised live at 1:00 p.m. on the Speed Channel.
Steve Park is only the tenth NASCAR driver in history to win a championship race in all three of NASCAR's top touring events. South Padre Island will be the primary sponsor for his #62 Dodge truck at two races at the Texas Motor Speedway.
